Find Your Special Message In The Music!
Have you ever thought that the Lord just may have a special surprise message just for you in the worship music you listen to?
When I was having my quiet time with the Lord, I was prompted to turn on some worship music. I put it on shuffle and as I was listening, I thought "write down one phrase from the song that stands out to you." So I grabbed my journal and pen. The phrase was "Will you walk into the room?"
Immediately in my mind I saw the Lord standing in the doorway with a big smile! I heard him say "Your invitation is my command!" It made me think of Genie from Aladdin and I returned his smile. Then I heard him say "you invite me to come and I'm there! There is no other joy than to be invited to join you in your day!" Then I asked Him How can I bring you joy Lord? "I'm here Sandra, It's my greatest joy to sit with you. To talk or just be still. Let me Walk into the room, your greatest joy will come when you let me come, in the beauty and fullness of who I am. I am like an unwrapped gift. You can hold it, enjoy it's beauty or open it up and see all that it is, that I am."
So...today I encourage you to grab your journal and pen, (maybe a tissue because this Self Discovery Journaling can be cathartic) and put on some worship music. Just enjoy it until a word or phrase jumps out to you. Write it down and see what happens next!
